Manchester United star Wayne Rooney has urged his fellow professionals to be careful when using Twitter.
Rooney is the most popular British sportsman on the social networking site, with more than five million followers.
With that in mind he, more than most, knows the pitfalls of sharing his thoughts with fans.
"It is a good way for the fans to see a different side of you, away from football," he said.
"But you obviously know everything you put on there is seen by everyone who follows you.
“It will be in the newspapers the next day so you have to be careful."
