According to reports Manchester United have lodged a bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski.

Onet.pl claims United have tabled a €30 million bid and are ready to offer the Poland striker a five-year contract.

Dortmund have long remained adamant they will not sell the centre-forward after already losing Shinji Kagawa to Old Trafford.

With Dimitar Berbatov in talks with Zenit St Petersburg, Lewandowski could arrive as a direct replacement.
