Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand reckons Shinji Kagawa can become a legend at Old Trafford.
The former Borussia Dortmund has caught the eye of teammates in pre-season.
Ferdinand said: “Kagawa is a really intelligent player and I think he’ll surprise a lot of people this year because they don’t know too much about him.
“He’s talented, intelligent, he see s a pass and I think he’ll integrate very, very well into our squad.”
Meanwhile, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is excited about the return to fitness of Darren Fletcher.
He said in an interview with Inside United this month: “Darren is one of the best footballers we’ve ever had in big-game situations.
“Those situations seemed to inspire him. I always remember his games against Patrick Vieira. He never gave him a kick. Right away, bang, he was in there. So much so, in fact, that Arsene Wenger used to single him out and label him a dirty player.
“That tells you exactly how much of a threat he was considered by other teams.”
Kagawa will be Manchester United great claims Ferdinand
