Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck has insisted he is ready to be England’s lead striker at Euro 2012.
The youngster ploughed a lone furrow up front in the 1-1 draw with France on Monday.
He has admitted he is ‘relishing’ the challenge of being the leading target man for the Three Lions at a major tournament.
"You're going to come across the good and the bad but you've got to take it in your stride,” he said ahead of tomorrow night’s clash with Sweden.
"I've been put in a position to lead the line for England.
"It's not something I'm scared of. I'm relishing the opportunity. Otherwise I wouldn't be here."
