Manchester United are set to confirm the signing of Borussia Dortmund star Shinji Kagawa this week.
The Manchester Evening News claims United are expected to announce the arrival of the Japanese international in the next 48 hours in a £14 million deal.
United have already missed out on Eden Hazard as Ferguson looks for long-term replacements for Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs.
The disappointment of that loss redoubled United’s effort to secure the signature of Kagawa, who scored 14 goals last season.
