Manchester United deal for Kagawa hits work permit problems

Manchester United face work permit issues over their deal for new signing Shinji Kagawa.

The Daily Star Sunday claims that, because of injuries, the Borussia Dortmund star has not played the required 75 per cent of games for his country over the last two years to be automatically cleared by the Home Office.

However, the midfielder has played in around 60 per cent and United are confident the deal will still get the green light.

United will probably have to go through the appeals process but they will argue that Kagawa is an exceptional talent who will enhance the Premier League.
