According to reports Manchester United will not pay more than £30 million for Tottenham Hotspur star Luka Modric.

The Daily Star claims the 26-year-old, who signed a new long-term deal at White Hart Lane before the start of last season, is valued at around £40 million bracket.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will not be prepared to sell his star cheaply and will play hard ball with any potential suitors.
