According to reports Manchester United are ready to spend £12 million on Borussia Dortmund attacker Shinji Kagawa.

The Daily Star says Kagawa has revealed that he was in Manchester earlier this week to meet United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and other senior United representatives.

The 23-year-old, who scored 17 goals this season to help Dortmund defend their Bundesliga title, is also a target of AC Milan, Chelsea and Juventus.

But Sir Alex appears to be in pole position to land the midfielder and is ready to outbid his rivals.
