Manchester United target Udinese ace Asamoah

According to reports Manchester United are interested in Udinese midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah.

Tuttomercatoweb claims United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is eyeing the Ghana international.

The 23-year-old has impressed in Udinese’s midfield this season, scoring three goals in 30 Serie A starts.

Asamoah has also been linked with Italian quartet Napoli, Milan, Juventus and Inter over the past few months.

Ferguson's brother Martin, the club's European scout, watched Udinese extensively at the end of last season and at the start of this campaign.

It is believed that a fee in the region of £8 million will be required to land the player.
