According to reports Manchester United are interested in Everton defender Leighton Baines.
The Mirror claims United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is eyeing the 27-year-old as a replacement for captain Patrice Evra.
However, it is understood that United will face competition for the defender from Champions League finalists Bayern Munich.
It is believed that United are looking at paying £5 million for the former Wigan Athletic left-back, but it seems Everton will be holding out for nearer three times that figure.
