According to reports Arsenal are looking to scupper Manchester United’s chances of landing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Shinji Kagawa.
United have been monitoring Dortmund star for some time, and are expected to make a move now that he has is seeking a move away.
However, it is understood that United’s Premier League rivals, Arsenal, are also interested.
Dortmund's president Michael Zorc announced: "Shinji is going to play in England because he has officially rejected our offer of a new contract."
Kagawa's is valued at well over £10 million but, with his contract set to expire next summer, Dortmund will cash in on one of their prize assets rather than lose him for free.
