Manchester United Ferguson to demand big money in summer

According to reports, Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will want to spend big in readiness for next season.

The Daily Star claims Ferguson is concerned that, without fresh blood, United will fall behind their neighbours Manchester City in the race for football’s top prizes.

He is understood to be concerned that his bitter rivals will again open their wallets and strengthen further in the summer.

Fergie spent almost £60 million on new signings last summer, including Ashley Young, Phil Jones and David De Gea but feels more work needs to be done to revamp his squad.
