Evra received unfair France treatment claims Manchester United boss Ferguson

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes Patrice Evra was harshly treated by the France national team in 2010.

United’s captain received a five-match ban for leading a player revolt against then-manager Raymond Domenech after Nicolas Anelka was left out of the World Cup in South Africa.

Ferguson reckons the penalty was unjust.

"I spoke with Patrice at the time of the World Cup in South Africa. He suffered a lot – unfairly, in my opinion," Ferguson told RMC Sport.

"He was the spokesman for the entire group. He only expressed his personal view. But he was punished."

Fergie added: "[Evra] is very happy since Laurent Blanc took the reins, and is satisfied with the results France have achieved.”
