According to reports Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson may reshuffle his defence for their derby at Manchester City.

The Manchester Evening News claims Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans ar ein danger of losing their places.

The duo, who have been the foundation on which United have surged to the top of the Premier League since Christmas, were found wanting in the 4-4 home draw with Everton last weekend which allowed City back into the title race.

It means Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are in the running to play at the Etihad, where they both started in United’s FA Cup third round win in January.
