Borussia Dortmund have reportedly given Shinji Kagawa two weeks to make up his mind over a new deal.

The Japan international is understood to be a target of both Manchester United and Chelsea.

Dortmund’s sporting director, Michael Zorc, claims a new deal has been offered and now it is in the hands of the midfielder.

"We will have a decision sometime soon," he told Bild. "We would be glad to sign a new contract with him."

"Shinji Kagawa is a key part of our plans. I can confirm the ball is still in play, Shinji just needs to score.

"Of course we are aware he would like to play in England or Spain some day. The question is when he will do so."
