Manchester United winger Nani facing two month lay-off

Manchester United are reportedly fearing the worst over Nani's foot injury.

The Portuguese winger was injured in a challenge with Laurent Koscielny at Arsenal on Sunday.

The Sun claims the injury could be damaged ankle ligaments which would mean Nani being out of action for two months.

It is understood that his right foot is so swollen that a proper scan to assess the damage has so far been impossible.

United medics are hoping it is just a sprain, but if it is ligament damage then it will mean Sir Alex Ferguson being without the influential winger for a crucial period in the title race.
