Two of Manchester’s most famous sons were out in force to celebrate City's first title for 44 years last night.

Manchester City fans Liam Gallagher and Ricky Hatton were pictured celebrating City’s famous win with club captain Vincent Kompany.

Kompany Tweeted the picture of himself, celebrating with former Oasis front man, Gallagher and former IBF and WBA Light Welterweight Champion Hatton, who both hold season tickets at the Etihad Stadium.

The celebrations continued long into the night with Kompany later Tweeting:

‘Struggling to remember what happened last night. Woke up with a medal around my neck. Memo to myself: Next time you’re Champion, drink less, dance more…’

Earlier in the day, City overcame 10-man QPR 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium in dramatic fashion with two injury time goals from Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero.

Djibril Cisse had cancelled out Pablo Zabaleta’s opener before Jamie Mackie’s diving header gave Mark Hughes’ men the lead.

Former City midfielder Joey Barton was sent off for elbowing Carlos Tevez. Barton looks certain to be given a lengthy ban after lashing out at Aguero and attempting to then head butt Kompany before leaving the field.
