According to reports Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez met with boss Roberto Mancini at the Italian’s home on Wednesday night.
The Sun claims Mancini rang Tevez telling him to report to his house once he arrived in Manchester.
It is understood that Tevez did so just after midnight expecting a clear-the-air talk, but Mancini demanded he apologise to him and chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak both publicly and privately.
He also told Tevez that even if he did so, disciplinary procedures would continue.
Tevez then asked Mancini to apologise to him for saying that he refused to play but the Italian said 'no'.
Tevez, who had been suspended for a fortnight, returned to training yesterday.
A source close to Tevez said: "Carlos went to Mancini's house as he was asked but to be told to apologise was not acceptable."
