According to reports Bolton Wanderers have told Wigan Athletic to increase their offer for goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi.

The Daily Mail claims Wanderers have rejected the Latics’ latest £3 million bid for the keeper.

It is understood that Wanderers are holding out for £5 million and that Latics boss Roberto Martinez is aware of the price.

It is believed to be the second bid offered by Wigan, the first £2 million offer having been rejected.

The 29-year-old Oman international was outstanding on-loan at Wigan last season and Martinez is desperate to keep him at the DW Stadium.
