Arsenal FC are reportedly ready to move for Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill.
Cahill is wanted by England's premier clubs including Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.
The News of the World claims Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will step up their chase for Cahill having found out that current centre-back Thomas Vermaelen will not be fully fit until next season at the earliest.
Wenger knows he has been caught short this season over the lack of central defensive options available to him.
