A man from South Manchester has pleaded guilty to computer hacking offences.

Charantoor Kultaar Singh was arrested by the Police Central e-Crime Unit back in April on suspicion of hacking in Liverpool John Moore’s University computer system.

He was subsequently charged with unauthorised access to a computer system and unauthorised impairment of a computer programme.

Singh, of Alexandra Road, Chorlton, pleaded guilty to the crimes under section two of the Computer Misuse Act 1990 – gaining unauthorised access to a computer with intent to commit fraud by false representation.

The offender will be sentenced at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on 20th August.
