Greater Manchester Police are appealing for witnesses of a fatal collision in the Wigan area.
Officers were called to Manchester Road in Leigh shortly before 4pm yesterday (17th July) and arrived on the scene to find that a motorcyclist had collided with a bicycle.
The rider of the motorbike, believed to be a 19-year-old man, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and was pronounced dead soon afterwards.
His pillion passenger left the scene of the crash, but has now been tracked down by police.
The cyclist suffered only minor arm injuries.
Officers are keen to speak to witnesses and anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 4742.
