A taxi driver from Greater Manchester was carjacked as he was leaving for work.
The incident occurred at around 6.25am on 29th June when the victim, 36, was leaving his home in Smallbridge, Rochdale.
As he entered his cab, a Vauxhall Vectra, a man opened the driver's door and pointed a weapon at his neck, demanding he exit the vehicle.
The offender grabbed his victim by the arm and dragged him from the taxi, before climbing into the driver's seat and speeding off.
Police describe the offender as white, of slim build and about 5ft 5in tall. He was wearing a balaclava and dark clothes.
The car, which remains outstanding, is a silver Vauxhall with Leeds City Council taxi plates on it.
Detective Constable Hannah Greetham said: "The victim in this case has been left badly shaken, and was also denied his means of income.
"He cannot remember what the offender threatened him with but he clearly feared for his safety.
"We would ask that anyone who has information about the car, or who may have witnessed this incident, makes contact with us as soon as possible."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 4637 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
