A woman was left with a broken jaw following an unprovoked attack in the Manchester region.
The incident occurred on Worsley Street, Swinton in the Salford area at around 10.55pm on Friday 29th June, when the 31-year-old victim was approached by a group of four or five men.
One of the men exchanged words with her before punching her in the face with enough force to knock her unconscious.
The attacker is described as being in his late teens to early 20s with a thin build. He was bald, and wore a white t-shirt on the night in question.
Detective Constable Andy Munden from Salford CID said: "This was a completely unprovoked attack on a lone woman that has left her with a broken jaw in two places.
"She has been left severely shaken by her ordeal and is in a lot of pain.
"The attack happened on a housing estate and I would ask anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious to contact police as soon as possible."
Anyone with information should phone police on 0161 856 5351 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
