A dad who was treating his son to a test drive in a Lamborghini for his 21st birthday has died in hospital after a 100mph horror smash.
Graham Padmore was behind the wheel of the £150,000 Gallardo Spyder when he left the track at Woodford Aerodrome, flipping the car and crashing into a garden.
The 58 year-old suffered critical injuries and spent six days in intensive care but the "doting husband and father" died on Saturday.
Son Mark sustained minor cuts and bruises and was taken to hospital but released after being treated.
The super-car had been rented from a dealership in Cheshire and was given permission to use the airfield for his son's birthday treat.
But Mr Padmore lost control at high-speed on the first run around the Stockport track.
With Mark in the passenger seat the pair smashed through two fences and a ditch before landing on the roof in the garden of a farmhouse.
The devastated family are struggling to come to terms with his sudden death.
In a statement released by Greater Manchester Police they paid tribute to a "loving father".
The family said: "Graham was a loving, doting husband and father of four to Claire, Helen, Catherine and Mark.
"He lived for his family and friends.
"He was treating his son Mark to a ride in a Lamborghini for his 21st birthday, which was typical of Graham, when this tragic accident occurred.
"He just wanted to be with his family and see them happy.
"We will miss him dearly but he will live with us forever in whatever we do."
