Further arrest in Greater Manchester murder case

A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in a Rochdale nightclub in the early hours of Christmas Day.

John Lee Barrett, 31, suffered a knife wound to the back at Sinclair's Bar on Drake Street at around 2.40am on Sunday 25th December 2011.

Police were called to the scene following reports of a mass disturbance at the club. Barrett was rushed to hospital where he died from his injuries.

A total of 15 people have been charged in connection with the incident, Greater Manchester Police confirm.

The latest suspect, a 25-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of murder, violent disorder and GBH. He remains in police custody for questioning.
