Child critical after Bolton traffic collision

A four-year-old boy was left in a critical condition following a traffic collision in Greater Manchester.

The incident occurred on De Havilland Way in the Bolton are at around 6:40PM on Monday, 30th April.

A Peugeot 206, in which the child was a passenger, was involved in a crash with a Land Rover Discovery and Vauxhall Insignia.

The boy was left trapped inside the wrecked vehicle, and had to be freed by firefighters. He was rushed to hospital with head injuries.

Greater Manchester Police are invesigating the cause of the three-car collision. A spokesperson for the force said that inquiries are "ongoing".
