Amy Macdonald, whose debut album 'This Is The Life' made her one of the world's most successful British female singer-songwriters, is back on tour!
Her highly anticipated second album ‘A Curious Thing’ was released on 8th March 2010, and it’s been flying high in most of the charts around Europe ever since. Following from the success of third single ‘This Pretty Face’ in July, Amy returns with her next offering, 'Love Love’ which is set for a 4th of October release.
With half a million albums already sold in three weeks, ‘A Curious Thing’ is quickly catching up with her 3 million selling debut. ‘A Curious Thing’ hit the #1 spot in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and went top 5 in a bunch of others including the UK, Holland, Belgium, Greece, Sweden to name a few.
Amy Macdonald has supported the release with a comprehensive tour of Europe, which included a sold out UK tour and a knock-out set at the Shepherds Bush Empire.
Being the ever-restless songwriter she’s been from her early teens, she’s alchemised those experiences into the sound of her second album, ‘A Curious Thing’. Big, bold and dramatic. Intimate, tender and touching. It’s Amy Macdonald, full-voiced and rebooted and reenergised, with added hammering piano and a couple of guest spots from Paul Weller (‘A Curious Thing’ was recorded at his studio in Surrey).
Amy Macdonald is set to embark upon her UK tour in October with tickets currently on general sale.
