Envirolution festival coming to Manchester in July

A free festival promoting and inspiring sustainable living will be held at Platt Fields Park in Manchester on July 21st.

Envirolution features a selection of marquees will host a range of activities and entertainment, including live music from local bands, comedy, and spoken word.

Sustainable, low carbon food will be on offer from stalls at the event, and there will be interactive workshops to encourage discussion on the issues the festival is based around.

There will also be a "Conversation Café", where members of the public can share their ideas and meet with some "successful names in the environmental revolution."

The event's organisers said in a statement: "Envirolution’s mission is to create a welcoming and open space for people to present their solutions and achievements. We want your hands and minds involved with every aspect and strive to provide an interactive and engaging experience for every visitor.

"It is vital to us that we walk the talk, hosting in the great outdoors of Platt Fields Park and running the whole event with a cycle powered PA system, a zero litter policy and with organic locally sourced food."

Envirolution takes place at Platt Fields Park on Mabfield Rd between 1:00pm and 7:00pm.
