ITV Studios has announced the cast list of its new drama show Homefont.
Claire Skinner, Clare Higgins, Nicola Stephenson, and Antonia Thomas will portray the wives and girlfriends of soldiers serving in the six-part series.
Breaking Bad helmer Terry McDonough directed the series alongside Ian Bevitt and Morag Fullarton, with Coronation Street producer Kim Crowther overseeing the project.
“Homefront is a unique and contemporary show highlighting the women and families left behind whilst their loved ones risk life and limb on the front line," said Crowther.
"Homefront will hopefully throw a light on the difficulties they face and the wonderful spirit they draw on to help each other through it. Our fantastic ensemble cast, alongside lead director Terry McDonough, will deliver big emotional stories told through four compelling women."
Sue Teddern created Homefront, writing the series with Jan McVerry and Joe Turner.
The show will be filmed on location in Manchester and Chester.
