Time starved entrepreneurs and non-technical company owners are being offered a free on-line, at-a-glance guide on the business benefits of cloud computing by leading Cheshire IT specialists 1st Easy.
The company, which launched their own cloud service ‘Cloud Utilities’ earlier this year, decided to devote part of their website to educating visitors about the commerciality of cloud in view of widespread misunderstanding about the technology.
“Although most major names in the corporate world are committed to cloud computing, many smaller businesses seem unsure or even confused about the commercial benefits of a technology whose name is misleading to some,” explained 1st Easy founder Stephen Bell, speaking from his Congleton HQ.
“In fact, the new technology has absolutely no connection with a cloud or clouds. In reality the name originates from the use of a cloud shaped symbol which is used as an abstraction for the complex infrastructure that it contains in system diagrams.
“Many business owners really haven’t grasped the possibilities of Cloud. As well as saving them money and enabling them to work from wherever and whenever they like, it gives their businesses an agility they will never have experienced before.
“Hopefully the outline of the benefits of Cloud Computing on our website will help those non-technical business people get an understanding of the basics of this technology. Visitors to our website simply need to follow the ‘Cloud Answers’ section on the front page of the website,” added the IT expert who has worked with major names like Sun Microsystems, Silicon Graphics and IBM during a long and successful career.
“They will then have the opportunity to read our take on Cloud and its benefits to the business world. They can also get more detail on what Cloud can do for them and their concerns by contacting one of our team on 0808 222 2221.
